Mom, Hun, Kristie, Copley, Mrs. Copley – these are all names I answer to and bear proudly; however, often my mother, wife, daughter, sister, friend, and/or teacher labels battle for dominance. They eventually divide and conquer leaving the aftermath, just me.

Surprising to many, I am content with my battle-trodden self. I am great at times, and I am flawed. I am brilliant at times, and I am ignorant. Perfection, or even the appearance of it, is not my goal. Instead, my goal is to provide my children a solid, loving foundation; my husband a faithful, loving partner; my parents a thankful, loving child; my siblings a reliable, loving supporter; my friends a caring, loving confidant; and my students a thoughtful, caring mentor.
